If you don’t know by now, Andrew Bird has a new album (and it is the kind of fantastic that makes me want to live in the country and drink lemonade and have potlucks with biologists). The special edition is beautifully texturally illustrated by Diana Sudyka. I found out about Sudyka by listening to an online NPR interview with Andrew Bird, where he talks about how Sudyka’s artwork contributed to the value of this album. There is also an awesome interview about Sudyka’s process and working with Bird onSezio.com (complete with more amazing paintings).

Diana informed me her poster (100% recycled-paper) of the above image is for sale beginning today on her website, www.dianasudyka.com. Bird comes to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto on April 3 (more tour dates), and the poster can be bought at his shows as well.
